Courteney is a famous American actor, director and producer, director and actress from America. Her most well-known work is her role in the TV series 'Friends' and in one of the main roles in the movie series 'Scream. The actress was born in Birmingham, Alabama and developed an interest in acting as an infant. She enrolled to study architectural studies in Mount Vernon College in Washington, DC; however, she ultimately left school for a full-time acting career. The actress made her film debut when she starred in 'Down Twisted'. She started gaining recognition after she played one of her most prominent parts in the horror slasher film "Scream'. The film was profitable commercially, and it earned eleven times its budget. Also, it was praised by the public and critics. The actress reprised her character in all the three sequels from the original film. The fame of her character grew to highs when she took on a main role in the popular sitcom 'Friends'. Her performance was recognized with numerous awards and nominations for her performance. The series that was a massive hit, aired over ten years. Recent projects includes a part as a co-star in the drama film 'Mothers and Daughters'. A few of the accolades won by her include those of the TV Guide Award in recognition of her performance on 'Friends' and the Golden Derby Award for her part in the TV series "Cougar Town".
